Federico Carminati

Artist by passion, lawyer by profession. In his works, Federico Carminati tries to represent the doubts that assail him about existence; the images are composed on canvas like parts of a rebus to be solved. A rebus sometimes difficult to compose even for the artist himself.

It is even the key of the observer of his works that provides the artist himself with the interpretation of what he represents on the canvas. Federico loves to experiment and prefers figurative art. In his paintings he uses mixed techniques and unusual materials such as toothpaste, recycled materials, papier-mâché, LED lights and epoxy resin.
